Residence Albarosa:

Located at 1,5 kilometre from Sigillo (Perugia) and a few kilometres from medieval villages of remarkable cultural and artistic interest, the Albarosa country house can be found in the surrounding area of the Natural Park of Mount Cucco. The Park, enriched with water basins and mineral sources, uncontaminated water courses, intact forests and karst caves, is an ideal goal for anyone who wants to practice mountain sports such as gliding, hang-gliding, speleology, cross-country skiing and trekking. The natural and pleasant atmosphere, the attention to detail and the nearby art towns, make of the Albarosa country house a point of reference for anyone who prefers to spend a healthy, relaxed and alternative holiday.

The apartments of the Albarosa country house available to the visitor have recently been restructured, they are open all year round and for shorts periods and made up of kitchen, bathroom, colour TV and furniture in typical Umbrian style. The rooms overlook the wide valleys with gently declining hills on the round top of which rest small villages, country houses and castles in a typical Umbrian landscape delimited by the Apennines chain of Mount Cucco and by River Chiascio.
The country house consists in all of eight apartments of three different types:
BILO/A consisting of: double room, living room with bed, small kitchen and bathroom;
BILO/B consisting of: double room, living room with bed-settee, small kitchen and bathroom;
TRILOCALE consisting of: double room, room with two beds, living room with bed-settee, small kitchen and bathroom.

For those who enjoy the pleasure of a dive, inside the housing estate there is a large swimming pool equipped with sun beds and beach umbrellas, surrounded by a panoramic field of sunflowers that provides visitors with refreshment and the opportunity to meet. Before the country house, a large gazebo with tables and benches is placed on a garden corner, a useful opportunity to taste a meal grilled on the adjacent firewood furnace and brickwork barbecue. Beside the swimming pool, a tennis table and a large garden with toys allows little children to play in the open air.

The strategic position of the Albarosa country house allows visitors to combine a relaxed stay with a trip to beautiful medieval villages and art towns such as Gubbio, Fabriano, Assisi, Montefalco, Gualdo Tadino, Nocera Umbra and Urbino. At the same time, the enjoyable and unique geographic, geologic, faunal and floral aspects of Mount Cucco park encourage many open air activities. Hiking and trekking are definitely the main ones. Every year, some ten thousand passionate hikers walk through a net of traced paths, immersed in the green and surrounded by uncontaminated nature. Thanks to its exposure to meteorological events, winds and thermic currents, the massif of Mount Cucco - one of the most panoramic and spectacular spots in central Italy - is also a particularly suitable place for gliding, especially hang-gliding. A school for the practice of gliding is open to anyone interested in this sporting activity. The vast and fascinating underground world that characterizes the massif of Mount Cucco is suitable for practicing speleology, while the remarkable presence of superficial and underground water basins that slide between ravines and gorges allows the sporting activity of torrent crossing. During the winter season, you can also practice cross-country skiing in Pian delle Macinare, where a dining area is built at a high altitude. Thanks to the variety of its mountainous and hilly landscape, inside the Regional Park of Mount Cucco you may also do mountain bike rides across the wide range of marked paths.
