Located on the hill in vicinity of Caltagirone, the B&B "La Rosa dei Venti" offers the possibility to spend quite and relaxing stays in complete harmony with nature. In the courtyard shaded by the big mulberry the open air activity of this large house takes place. At breakfast and lunch, the flavours of the countryside mix to those of the natural and biological cousine, that Francesca and her daughters Daniela and Silvia carefully take care of. The rooms are sober and comfortable, shiny amd warm in the colours, and remind of the colours of the mediterranean flowers. They are furnished in "arte povera" style, to preserve the original semplicity. Simple, discrete and essential, the house invites the visitor to retrieve a dimension of total comfort, far from the stressful rythms and routine of everyday life, in full harmony with nature.

Description of the property
Although recently built, the Francesca's house has the sharmed of ancient places. As the ancient homes, the house is a discrete presence in the calatina countryside. It has been built according to the sicilian tradition, with materials that respect the environment and that allow a "natural living". The walls are made of clay, the door and window frame of wood, the pavements are made of terracotta tiles, the sealings are made with pinewood and clay tiles, and provide a thermically stable and nice environment. The walls are ecologically painted. Hot watrer is obtained by using solar energy. In the bedrooms, the bed bases are made of beech wood, the martesses of lattice, the beddings are made of pure natural wool (in the winter) of row flax (in the summer). In the wide living room, heated, in the winter time, with an ecological maiolica stove, the guests can relax drinking a tea, listening to music, reading a book. Yoga and Do-In automassage sessions are also possible. In the yard, among the mediterranean vegetation flavours, it is possible to have breakfas and eat delicious cakes, prepared by natural rising with biological ingredients. Sicilian almonds cakes, cereal coffee, fruit cakes, malt of rise icecreams, fresh fruit are also available.
