“Alla Curva Del Fiume” , placed close to the banks of the River Taro, in the tranquillity of Parma countryside, offers a warm and friendly welcome in a confortable and elegant environment.
The guests’ wing, which is completely independent, includes three bedrooms pleasantly furnished, each with a private bathroom, a living room on the ground-floor and a kitchen at guests’ disposal.
The house has a vast garden and stands in a quiet and peaceful agricultural area. An abundant breakfast will be served to the guests, including not only the classic baked products, but also fruit in season, home-made sweets and jams.
“Alla Curva Del Fiume” is 15 minutes from Parma Fairs and “G.Verdi” Airport and 25 minutes to the town centre, not far from A1 ( Milano – Bologna ) and A15 (Parma – La Spezia ) motorway exits.
A bus stop ( line n° 10 ) connecting San Secondo to Parma is 200 metres from the B&B.

SIGHTSEEING

The B&B “Alla Curva Del Fiume” is 400 meters from the entry of the cycle path Ciclotaro, which stretches as far as the River Po running along the river bank, with a fantastic view on the river banks and the surrounding countryside.
The village of San Secondo is 1 km far, with its Rocca dei Rossi and its old town centre animated by several festivals and cultural activities all the year round. One of the most typical events is the traditional “Palio delle Contrade”, which takes place the first week of June with the passing of the historical procession and the challenge among knights.
“Alla Curva Del Fiume” represents the ideal starting point for a tour in search of the artistic and gastronomic treasures of Parma’s province. From here you can reach in a short time the castles of Parma’s plain : a part form the Rocca dei Rossi in San Secondo, you can also visit the Rocca San Vitale in Fontanellato, the Rocca Meli Lupi in Soragna, the Palazzo Ducale in Colorno and the Rocca of Roccabianca.
Roncole Verdi, Busseto and Sant’Agata, the villages where Giuseppe verdi was born and lived, are 10 km far from the B&B.
In several restaurants on this area you can enter the heart of the best Emilian gastronomic tradition and savour many typical local products, such spalla cotta, culatello, spalla cruda and the other products deriving from pork , and the inevitable Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, famous all around the world.
