On the 29th and 30th of August the second edition of the medioevale fair will take place: an extension market, with rievocation of anchient trades, therefore as the Mastrogiurato happened to the times. On the 31st of August the fests in honor of S. Egidio will begin with the fair of the gemes. In the evening of the 31st August and the 1st of September you can participate (on reservation) to the “Panarda”: a supper in medioeval acclimatization with tasting of typical products of the past. The medioeval fest will finish on Sunday the 2nd of september with the historical corteo of the Mastrogiurato with the participation of Italian and foreign delegations. Viene servita una ricca colazione all’ombra del gelso secolare, dalla folta chioma, oppure, in inverno, al tepore dell’antico caminetto. Sono ammesi gli animali purchè di piccola taglia (tra i proprietari del b&b c’è una gatta, potrebbe offendersi!) e, nel caso lo si desiderasse, è a disposizione una ampia dependance in legno come ‘suite notturna’ per gli ospiti a quattro zampe. Le camere sono tutte ampie e dotate di servizi, ma offrono una meravigliosa vista sulla Majella e sulla campagna circostante. Nella sala, è a disposizione dell’ospite una piccola biblioteca e una televisione con lettore dvd, ed inoltre è possibile collegarsi alla rete internet per breve tempo tramite il computer dei proprietari. |

The old peasant house is near historical artistic places such as Chieti, Guardiagrele, Crecchio, Lanciano, Ortona, and the near “costa dei trabocchi” (fishing pile coast) and Francavilla al mare.
It’s 10 km fromMount Majella National Park, 20 km from the sea, 240 km from Rome, 40 km from Pescara, 40 km from Pescara airport, 100 km from Sulmona, 32 km from Chieti, 295 km from Bari, 203 km from Ancona, 408 km from Bologna, and 211 km from Naples.
The house is provided with three rooms: a single bedded room, a twin bedded room and a double bedded-room, each with bathroom furnished with shower/tub.
An added bed will grant a 25% discount per person. The price includes a rich breakfast, with a large choice of personalized menus.
Children under six will be granted a 50% discount.
The peasant house, completely restructurated since 2006, has preserved the original structure and materials: the iron small vaults, the thimbers, the tiled floors, the white stone stairs from Mount Majella; even, some pieces of forniture have been restored just to bring the old place to life again, when in the past the while district was inhabited by lots of families and resourced with the children’s noisy games.
What is particolarry enjoyble today, is the quietness and the peace of nature, without giving up modern comforts: all th e rooms are large and endowed with a bathroom and offer a wonderful sight of Mount Majella and the surrounding countryside.
The twin bedded room has a large terrace on the mountain side, with fountain and solarium, while the double bedded-room is looking on the surrounding garden and is warmed up by cast iron stove in the cold winters.
A rich breakfast is served in the shade library and tv set with a dvd player are at the guest disposal; besides you can connect to internet for short time thanks to the host computer.
Small size pets are welcome (otherwise the house cat might feel hurt!); if required a large wooden building can be used as “night suite” for four legged guests.
Great care has also been taken for the outside the house: the olive trees nourished by wind and water only, produce natural oil and surrouond the peasant house.
You can sunbathe in the solarium enjoying the scent of freshly cut grass: swing in the hammock in the shadow of the olive trees; roll on the cushious placed on the grass; play with the children in the play ground; chat in the romantic corner surrounded by roses; refresh under a bouer; think over at the base of an old well; care for the kitchen garden, being supervised the nice Geneviève; “steal” a fig, a pear, a plum from the trees full of fruit enjoying its taste; stroll in the countryside discovering its misteries and surprises. If you wish, you can go botanic excursions in the surrounding area, picking up wild fruit and aromatic herbs.
